My name is Kathie and I have some interesting life experiences and insights to share. I will try to keep you entertained with humour, humility and a dose of irony thrown in for good measure.
I am a very strong believer that actions speak louder than words and you will find that resilience is a recurring theme in my writing, as is just getting out there and giving it a go.
If you are a leader in business or governance, or aspiring to be, I am sure you’ll find my posts on Leadership interesting. It’s always good to learn about your peers’ experiences but it’s not often a successful leader will have the courage to speak out, particularly about topics that may be perceived as showing weakness. Where others see weakness or vulnerability, I see life lessons and an opportunity to learn, grow and improve.
For all you technophiles out there, my posts on Technology provide an alternate perspective on Australia’s technology landscape. You will note that I am from neither a STEM nor a research background, I have come to love technology from an entrepreneurial perspective. My tangential pathway to technology gives me unique insights, particularly around commercialisation and ethical considerations.
I am so excited to be playing a part in shaping the future of Australia’s technology economy – at Lunar Outpost Oceania, we’re developing an Australian-made rover to go to the Moon! I am also deeply proud to have served as Director of Corporate Strategy at the Australian Space Agency, where I had the privilege of leading the Agency’s evolution program, and providing strategic advice and direction to ensure the organisation’s success in delivering on the Australian Civil Space Strategy 2019-2028.
